President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Morin participated in many feasibility studies on the implementation of mines, mining projects, and mining equipment installation companies. Between 1981 and 1989, he founded Équipement Minier GRM Inc., where he was Vice-President. Mr. Morin has been involved in the planning, management, monitoring, construction and evaluation of various mining projects since 1974.
Executive Chairman of the Board
Before founding Metanor, Mr. Roy was President of Ressources Pyrinor Inc. He is a residential and commercial construction contractor. Previously, he has held various positions with companies such as Construction G.P.M., Stabell Resources Inc., and Ovaltex Consultant Inc. (mining consultants and geological engineers). Mr. Roy held a construction contractor’s licence from the Commission de la Construction du Québec (Construction industry commission).
Ronald S. Perry
Vice-President and Treasurer
Mr. Perry has almost 30 years of accounting, financial and entrepreneurial business experience in high technology, venture capital and merchant banking companies. In 2000, Mr. Perry founded Briolijor Corporation, a financial consulting company to both private and public corporations, and still acts as its President. Mr. Perry has been involved in all dimensions of business, including statutory reporting, internal controls, legal aspects, as well as all administrative responsibilities.
Vice-President of Operations
Holder of a Mining Engineering Degree decreed by Polytechnique Montréal, Mr. Hamelin is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Professional order of engineers) since September 2009, and of Professional Engineers Ontario since July 1993.
Mr. Hamelin cumulates twenty-five years of progressive and relevant experience in mining operation project management, as well as in surface and underground mining operations. This experience was acquired (March 1991 to October 2007) mainly in the Stobie, McCreedy East, Copper Cliff North and Garson mines belonging to Inco Limited. Mr. Hamelin was Mine Manager of the Lamaque mine from October 2007 to May 2009. He then worked as Mine Manager for the Lake Pelletier project (Rouyn-Noranda) and Lake Herbin mine (Val-d’Or) of Alexis Minerals Corporation (May 2009 to September 2010). During his career, Mr. Hamelin has also performed and completed several mining pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.
General Manager of Operations at the Bachelor mine
Mr. Parker has more than 30 years of experience in working with narrow vein-type deposits. His increasing responsibilities gave him the opportunity to acquire experience in running and exploiting underground mines, both conventional and mechanical. He has worked on many mining sites throughout his career. He was General Manager at Don Bourgeois & Fils, a mining contractor, for five years before joining Metanor in September 2015.
Chief Financial Officer
Mrs. Lévesque holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Université du Québec à Hull since 1982. She is a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (Professional order of certified accountants) since 1985. She was awarded the title of FCA in 2009. She worked for Raymond Chabot Martin Paré, in the taxation field, from 1981 to 1990. She was a partner in the Allard Lévesque accounting firm from 1990 to 2006. She manages her own firm, Claudine Lévesque C.A. Inc., since January 2006. She has been working with exploration and mining development companies for the last ten years. She has served on the Executive Board and Board of Directors of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec for many years.
Mrs. Gendron holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a bachelor’s degree in sciences (economics), and she is a member of the Barreau du Québec (Bar of the province of Quebec). She has been a solo practitioner since 2009, serving several small and mid-sized businesses, many in the mining exploration field. Her area of practice is mainly securities legislation and corporate governance, and she has also served on the Boards of several publicly traded corporations.
